Welcome! I’m glad you’ve taken the time do a little research on one of my favorite authors. My name is Jared Lyman and I was introduced to Leo Tolstoy by Dr. Michael Kelly. Majoring in Russian at BYU I had the opportunity to take Dr. Kelly’s Tolstoy seminar and read most of his major works and several short stories. Since then I have revisited Tolstoy’s works in search of, what are for me, some of life’s most important questions.

• Q: I read/heard somewhere that Tolstoy said, “Insert Quote.” Do you know where I can find this? A: I don’t. However the Tolstoy concordance may be able to help you. It’s at http://www.concordance.com/tolstoy.htm
• Q: Do you know where I can find more information on such and such a book by Tolstoy? A: Try your local Library. If your city does not have sufficient resources please write me at odean@ltolstoy.com and I’ll see what I can do. Please keep in mind I don’t have time to do heavy duty research.
